Why UpHealth

A patient being welcomed at the UpHealth reception desk

Pain that lasts more than a few weeks is worth checking.

When pain is left alone, your body starts working around it, and that takes longer to undo.

Prices are per area treated. Your doctor decides which program fits you and how many areas and sessions you need.

Not sure which one describes you? That is what the assessment is for.

What treatment usually involves

Most plans use two or three of these. Which ones depends on what your assessment finds.

  • Hands-on therapy

Your therapist works directly on stiff joints and tight muscles. This often gives the fastest relief. It is not a massage, and we will tell you beforehand if any part may feel uncomfortable.

  • Exercise therapy

Guided exercises to rebuild strength, balance, and range of movement. This is the part that keeps you well after your sessions end.

  • Machine-assisted therapy

Shockwave therapy. The machine has a specific job, and we only use it when your assessment gives us a reason to. Machines support treatment. They do not replace the work you do with your therapist.

  • Rehabilitation programs

Slower, structured programs for stroke recovery, senior reconditioning, and recovery after surgery. Progress is measured against what you need to get back to, like walking on your own or returning to work.

Do you need physiotherapy?

How long have you had the pain or difficulty?

We check first, then we treat.

We would rather spend your first visit finding out what is wrong than start treatment and hope it is the right one.

  1. Step 1

    Tell us your history

When you book, tell us what is bothering you and when it started. Bring any x-rays, MRI results, or doctor's notes. Our doctor reads your file before you sit down.

  2. Step 2

    Doctor consultation (₱1,000)

Our doctor examines you and explains the findings in plain language, including anything that is still uncertain.

  3. Step 3

    Free PT assessment

Our physical therapist checks how you move and how strong you are. You leave with a clear plan: how many sessions, which treatments, and the total cost.

  4. Step 4

    Therapy and reassessment

Sessions on a schedule you can actually keep. At the end, we measure your progress against where you started and give you exercises to do at home.

Some conditions are not cured. They are managed.

Feeling better? Let's keep it that way.

Arthritis, scoliosis, disc problems, and the effects of a stroke or aging do not fully go away. Therapy can reduce pain, improve how you move, and keep you independent. That result lasts as long as you keep moving. When the exercises stop, the pain or weakness often comes back.

  1. A slot that is already yours

Choose weekly, every 2 weeks, or monthly sessions. Your slot stays booked, so you do not have to remember to call.

  2. Exercises that get updated

Our team adjusts your home routine as your body changes.

  3. Your records stay with us

If something flares up, we already have your history, results, and what worked last time.

  4. We check in

If a month passes without a visit, we will reach out to see how you are doing.

We will discuss this at your final reassessment, or you can ask anytime.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral?

No. Our doctor is at the clinic every day we are open and examines you before therapy starts.

How much does it cost?

The doctor consultation is ₱1,000, and the PT assessment after it is free. Therapy starts at ₱1,500 per area for musculoskeletal, ₱1,700 for geriatric, and ₱2,000 for neurological. You will know the total before treatment begins.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your condition. After your assessment, you will get a set number of sessions.

Can seniors or stroke patients come with a family member?

Yes. A family member is welcome to join, and we can show them how to help with exercises at home.

Can I use my HMO?

We are still setting up our HMO partnerships. We will announce which HMOs we accept as soon as they are ready.

Do you still accept PhilHealth YAKAP?

No. UpHealth is now a physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinic and is not a YAKAP provider.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in. Bring any x-rays, MRI results, or medical records you have.
